Cramer Mountain Country Club first opened for play in 1986. The course was designed by Dan Maples.
Cramer Mountain is known as one of the premiere golf courses in the Carolinas. The Dan Maples Design was carved out of the rolling hills to create a golfing masterpiece described as "A Picasso that you can play golf on". This unique course's signature hole plays off the side of a mountain. There are many greenside and fairway water hazards that come into play on seven holes. The terrain is mountainous, so expect many uneven lies.
Playing only 6456 yards from the Championship tees, the golf course may not be long, but proves to challenge even the most skilled of golfers with a 72.7 rating and a slope of 138 from the Blue Tees. Boasting five par-5s and five par-3s, Cramer Mountain is a par -72 (36-36) course that demands accurate shots and a skilled putter.
Cramer Mountain Country Club closed July 2012.
